Submersible borehole pumps
The submersible electro pump assembly consists of two parts of the electromotor and a submersible pump that fully submerged in water. This product, due to the reduction of groundwater levels and the increasing the prices of the energy carriers, has been supplied as a suitable substitute for Shaft and sheath pumps. The main application of the submersible pump is the extraction of water from underground sources. It can also be used in pressure transmitting and amplification systems. An electromotor is an induction electric motor whose function is to generate the required pump rotation. The generated heat resulted from the engine’s function is transmitted through the water to the well. In this category of motors, due to water in the engine the sliding contact bearings are used instead of rolling bearings. Also, the thrust bearing is used to overcome the axial force produced in the pump.
The KSB submersible pumps, which are the most widely used submersible electro pumps in Iran, are able to produce pressure up to 600 m and capacity to 580 m3/h. Also, this series of electromotors have an output power in the range of 1.5 kW to 300 kW.
The submersible pumps are produced in two types of Radial and Mixed flow that radial pumps are available In 5 types of 152, 193, 233, 293 and 345 and Mixed flow pumps are available in six types: 271, 374, 384, 425, 435, 466, 486.
Gazar Industrial Group for the first time in Iran, has produced RITZ pumps in types of 6608, 6609 and 6611 as a suitable substitute for use in wells with sandstone volume more than the permissible limit for KSB type pumps, that this causes the increasing the duration of operation. Also, the 345-type mixed flow pump has been mass-produced by Gazar research and development unit and design unit, which is problematic in many projects.
